Peter won his wings in 1969 via Virginia Flying Club in Durban on Piper PA28s. He has been a member of the Stellenbosch Flying Club (FASH) since 1970 and has owned a C172 and a V-Tail Bonanza. As a Rotarian he served in various committee positions over the years. He had great adventures over the years visiting various out of the way places courtesy of the local Beechcraft agency.

Chris purchased a C172 to obtain a Private Licence and progressed through to CPL and Instructor Rating at Ardmore Airport. He Joined NZ Warbirds Association in 1990 and was involved with purchasing and syndicating a Harvard, Vampire, Beaver, CT4 Airtrainer, T28 Trojan and PBY5A Catalina Flying Boat.
