Our current fundraising is for BeyondWater.global:
Ngoswani Primary School in Kenya has a capacity of 1,000 students and 25 staff. It includes an Early Childhood Department, Primary and Junior High School. Up to mid 2023, the school had no access to water at all. Students were required to bring water from their home block and students had to use their afternoons collecting water from the seasonal river 200 metres away.
Although the school had a couple of small water tanks, these were not connected to the guttering and the minimal guttering on the buildings was in disrepair.
In 2023 we piped 75 metres (246 feet) from the deep bore well at the Ngoswani Health Center and installed a 10,000 litre (2642 gallons) tank at the far end of the school. This at least gives the students a small amount of water for drinking, washing hands and cleaning the classrooms.
Next steps:
- Six 10,000 litre water tanks
- Guttering on all the classrooms
- 6 desktop water filters
- 6 handwashing facilities
This will enable the school to be totally self sufficient with it's water needs. It will increase the health of the school community and also the attendance rate. The decrease in waterborne diseases means families will have more money to invest into their families, rather than on healthcare. The school would like to plant trees and have a vegetable garden, which water will enable them to do. The trees would act as a barrier against the winds that cross the plains and stir up the dust.

The arrival of the long-awaited fuel bowser, built by Ensol in New Zealand and donated by the Rotary E-Club of Aviation, and the Honourable Company of Air Pilots. MAF Chad planes provide access to the remotest regions, supporting water and medical projects, leadership training and development initiatives.
The Rotary E-Club of Aviation kindly gave towards the upgrade that was needed on the airstrip in Enairebuk in south-western Kenya.
Flights from MAF can now continue to meet the needs of isolated people living in the remote communities in this part of Kenya.
Rotary E-Club of Aviation received an urgent call for help to replace a machine for Mission Aviation Fellowship.
MAF is an aviation charity, that operates in some of the world's most difficult populated areas.
Their work involves reaching remote villages and settlements with urgent medical or food supplies.
We received a request to fund a replacement lathe at one of their maintenance workshops in Queensland Australia.
Not your average request, but a vital piece of equipment for a maintenance unit keeping the fleet of aircraft flying.
The Rotary E-Club of Aviation agreed to replace the 45 year old lathe to help keep the fleet in the air.
